Our Story
Cornerstone Community Services (CCS) is a social service agency established in 1996, dedicated to strengthening families and building resilient communities. We are a full member of the National Council of Social Services and have been recognised as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) since 2003.
Guided by a strong spirit of volunteerism and sustained by the generosity of donors and community partners, CCS delivers holistic programmes and services that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Our work focuses on family life education, counselling and case management, financial assistance, befriending and support services, as well as active ageing initiatives.
We also operate Cornerstone@ChengSan Active Ageing Centre in Ang Mo Kio, providing seniors with opportunities to stay socially connected and physically active. In addition, we run three social enterprises – The Barn (thrift shop), CornerStore (snack store), and Kakis Kitchen (community cafe) at various locations to serve the locals and migrant workers. All proceeds are used to fund our welfare and wellness programmes.
Our Team
We are a nimble and dedicated team of 22 staff members serving across diverse functions, including case management, administration, programme delivery, retail & kitchen operations, finance, information technology, design & media, marketing & communications and fundraising etc. Many of our team members also take on multiple roles, contributing as workshop trainers and counsellors to better support the individuals and families we serve.
